Questions
Where is my research data kept?
On your own PC, in the app's local storage. Our cloud only holds your account, your plan and your payments. Your alphas, results and settings are not uploaded.
How many computers can I use?
One at a time. You can move to a new PC by removing the old one from your account (here or in the app). Changing devices too often is limited to keep accounts from being shared.
Does it work offline?
Yes, for up to 72 hours after the app last checked in. After that it asks you to connect once so it can confirm your plan.
How do I pay, and is there a refund?
With M-Pesa: you get a prompt on your phone. The test week is refundable for the days you did not use. See the refund policy.
Why does Windows show a warning when I install it?
The installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may ask you to confirm. Only download it from the link on this site. The app checks its own updates with a signature we control.
Is Quant-Assist made by or endorsed by WorldQuant?
No. Quant-Assist is an independent tool. You use it with your own accounts and you are responsible for following the rules of any platform you connect it to.
